Milk Makeup: Matcha Toner

Happy happy Wednesday! Today I’m reviewing the Milk Makeup Matcha Toner.

I’ve tried a few products from Milk Makeup and I’m impressed thus far. The brand has a very simple aesthetic but great products!

The Matcha Toner is a solid gel toner stick. Yes I said stick. It intrigued me so of course I had to try it! I bought the mini in case it wasn’t good.

It has Matcha green tea, kombucha, and witch hazel to tone and tighten skin as well as organic cactus elixir to hydrate and calm.

Verdict: I love it! I think it’s extremely convenient in a stick and it really does make good on its promises!

Most toners dry your skin out because they have alcohol in them. Not the case with this one! My skin feels hydrated, calm, and clean! My pores are definitely refined as well.

I use it before bed but it would be great to prep the skin before makeup application.

Skincare: Breakdown

Say it with me: skincare is important. Skincare is the only way to healthy good looking skin. If you don’t take away anything but one thing from this post take this: there are no shortcuts to skincare and you have to be committed to a regimen.

Skincare encompasses a myriad a things and not everything is for everybody. There’s cleansers, masks, serums, creams, essences, moisturizers, oils, toners, sprays, gels, exfoliators, lotions, foams, balms, the list can get pretty long.

Depending on what your skin type is and what skin issues you are trying to combat will tell you what your regimen should consist of.

For me? I have combination skin and I like mattifying products that brighten and even skin tone.

My p.m. regimen consists of a cream cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. In that order. I have a schedule for exfoliating and masking as well. My a.m. regimen is a bit different.

Skincare is no joke and definitely a commitment. Say it with me: skincare is important.

What’s your regimen?

K Beauty: Trendy or Trusted

Allow me to drop some knowledge on you this hump day. K Beauty or Korean Beauty is the term for skin care products derived from South Korea. These products focus on health, hydration, and complexion.

The typical K Beauty regimen involves cleansers (oil and water based), sheet masks, moisturizers, serums, and essences.

Two K Beauty brands I’m highlighting are TonyMoly and Skin Food.

From TonyMoly we have the Egg Pore tightening cooling pack and a Megatox lift shot. Both are masks each one focused on complexion which is one of the concentrations of K Beauty. The Egg Pore mask helps with tightening and shrinking pores and the lift shot focuses on an overall face lift.

From Skin Food we have the Peach Sake toner, Peach Sake serum, and Rice Brightening makeup remover wipes. The focus of these products is hydration and brightening.

My favorite are the Rice makeup remover wipes. Best makeup remover wipes ever! They don’t sting, they remove all the makeup from your face, and you get 80 per pack for $12!

The Peach Sake toner is a close second. It’s refreshing and smells amazing!

All items were purchased at Ulta.

Bottom Line: K Beauty is a must! My skin is soft, clear, and even toned. I’ve even noticed a change in my pores (winning)!
