Neutral Fall Décor

It’s that time of year again! Fall is officially here, and I’m particularly excited about this year’s fall decor. I wanted to go very neutral this year.

What kicked off the neutral theme this year was a thrift store find! I have an amazing consignment shop downtown, and I was wandering around one Saturday, and I found a nice-sized glass pumpkin, and I had to have it!

So I surveyed the rest of my fall decor and pulled out pieces that went along with a natural neutral theme, changed up the pillows, and added some blankets for a cozy vibe.

I wanted cozy, warm, and transitional. I added color in a few places, but I opted for deep rich hues and leather accents. I wanted something that would last until it was time to decorate for Christmas. Something I wouldn’t get tired of, and that didn’t give that kitchy pumpkin basic fall vibe.

What’s your fall decor theme or vibe this year? Do you decorate for Halloween and then transition to a fall theme?

Knit Pumpkins

Hello! Fall is here! In name only because the weather hasn’t gotten the memo but I digress. I was scrolling on Instagram and I came across the CUTEST picture of knitted pumpkins. My mouth fell open and I decided I need to make them. I’ve been knitting for years and I have an unfortunate pumpkin obsession so what a better way to satiate both habits.

This is the cutest and easiest project for fall. You can use a variety of yarn colors, weights, and textures. You can make them as big or as little. I thought this was a great way to delve into a different color theme for fall rather than your traditional oranges and yellows.

Here’s what I have so far:

I’m just getting started! For those that want to make them too, I found a bunch of videos on YouTube! If you already know how to knit you can get started no problem with any video. I just found the one that had the least amount of steps. If you don’t know how to knit it’s ok, because the videos are super easy to follow!

What fall projects are you working on this year?

Fall Home Decor 2021

Finally! Summer is over and the best time of the year can begin. I’ve changed it up a little bit this year. I have color themes throughout my fall decor. One theme I’m obsessed with started last year, a more soft romantic fall look with pastels and feminine touches. I’m slowly but surely transitioning away from the traditional fall colors i.e. oranges and yellows. I’m really liking the natural tones a lot this year! Take a look:
