Coffee Table Styling

Are you a knick-knack person? Do you like tchotchkes? I do! I use my knick-knacks to add a flair to tables, bookshelves, etc. I use them as something extra or finishing touches.

I feel like your coffee table just screams for little decorative extras. Why not? I don’t drink coffee so I have no other choice. JK. The coffee table is such a versatile piece and often times it’s the center piece of a room, so have a little fun with it.

You can go in many different directions with coffee table styling depending on the fashion or the function of the room. This is were knick-knacks or tchotchkes come in. You can add these in to make something functional look fabulous.

Here are a few examples of different styles and pieces that create different looks.

As you can see you have quite a few options to mix and match I incorporated pictures, flowers, and books. You can add or take away just depends on your preference or the aesthetic of the room. You can have fun with color or stick to a theme.

Project Bar Cart

I’ve been working on this project for quite some time and I’m still not done  but I wanted to share my progress!

I’m not really a drinker but I like the idea of a bar cart. For me it’s more about fashion rather than function (as are most things in my life lol).

I’ve been buying a few things here and there for my bar cart. I have a few glasses, cute paper straws, a tray, etc. but no actual bar cart.

The latest addition to my cart-less bar cart are decanters!  I was shopping in an antique store where I found three gorgeous vintage crystal decanters. I bought all three for 20 bucks!

I decided to take the bits and pieces I have collected so far and do a faux bar cart styling.

I have a few more pieces but I’m on the search for the perfect bar cart. I would like something with a least two levels and with gold accents.

What do you think so far?

Vision Board: 2018 and Beyond

Hello! I figured what better way to kick off 2018 then with a vision board for the brand new year! Now I’ve never put much stock in vision boards but my mindset and my goals have evolved so much over the last year that I thought a vision board would be a good way for me to keep track of what I’m working toward.

Now my vision board is a little different. These are more affirmations and encouragements to keep me pushing and going after my goals. Life can get a bit heavy sometimes and we all need a reminder of not only what we’re striving for but how great we are! Can I get an Amen!?

My vision board can and probably will transcend past 2018 which is why I wrote 2018 and beyond.

Do you have a vision board? What’s on your board?

Live it. Love it. Visualize it.

DIY: Table Refresh

For this project all I used was paint and painter’s tape. Now for a little extra I used a sealant so the table wouldn’t get scratched up when it is in use.
